Spirit Fitness is a  unique combination of guided Veracis Meditation, Hatha Yoga, Cardio Aerobics and Core Strength Building.

Classes are for all levels of fitness to feel safe in a mature environment. Certified Fitness Trainer, Janice offers personalized service within a small group setting that is gentle and healing for body, mind and spirit.

Registration & Policies

  • Pre-registration is required for all Spirit Fitness classes.
  • Spirit Fitness class registration is per 8, 10, 12, or 14 week series;  no contract to sign, no registration fees.Missed
    classes are not refunded, transferred, or carried forward.
  • Your credit card (Visa or MasterCard) reserves your space. 
  • Due to limited space, registration is based on availabiltiy and is required for drop in fitness- $15.
  • Pro-rated class rates offered when joining a series that is already running, and based on availability.

    What is Spirit Fitness?

    Spirit Fitness is a unique combination of guided conscious meditation, Hatha yoga, cardio aerobics, and core strength building.  This combination facilitates spirit, mind and body wholeness, with a focus on nourishing inner strength, increasing flexibility, physical strength, and cardiovascular endurance.

     

    Imagine the power of experiencing your fitness regime having let go of the tension and stress of the day, centered with present moment awareness, ease and flow.  Class begins with a 7-10 minute guided Veracis Meditation directing you . From here your Spirit Fitness trainer directs you to stretch with gentle Hatha Yoga poses for another 7-10 minutes.  The music changes from soft to modern upbeat as you move into cardio aerobics and core strength building.  Resistance training, weights, and balancing combine to ensure you receive a well rounded fitness experience.  Complimentary herbal tea and signature ginger snap cookies finish every class. You’re body, mind and spirit will love you!

     

    Spirit Fitness Class - 75 minute breakdown:

    7-10 min    Guided Veracis Meditation to to center, ground, define your boundaries and cleanse your aura.
    7-10 min    Hatha Yoga to stretch and warm up.
    30 min       Cardio movement to upbeat music for your heart!
    7-10 min    Core Strength Building  with resistance bands, weights, balancing and mat work.
    7-10 min    Cool Down, Stretching, Relaxation
    5 min        Herbal Tea & Self Care Card sharing

    You know you need to exercise, you know you need to relax and you know you need to focus.   You can have all this in one, 75 minute class.   Imagine yourself feeling energized, focused and relaxed, all at the same time!  

     

    People who meditate and exercise regularly experience less fatigue, higher levels of energy, with focused, relaxed, awareness.  Occasionally some minor discomfort may be experienced when first beginning, either in sitting still during the meditation, or moving through the fitness regime.  Your Certified Instructor ensures you work at a pace that is comfortable for you.  With continued practice you gain insights and understand your spirit, mind and body connection.

     

    More energy

    With inner calm and awareness comes a renewed increase in vitality.  People who meditate regularly are giving themselves an ‘energy tune up’ increasing their inner frequency.  Add cardio aerobics and core strength building for a ‘physical tune up” and leave feeling rejuvenated and recharged.

    With regular Spirit Fitness training, your body begins to feel more energized and toned, and you’ll feel better about yourself.  Oxygen and blood flowing to your heart, lungs and largest organ, your skin creates a healthy glow. 

     

     

    How big are your classes? 

    Spirit Fitness class sizes are smaller, with a maximum of 8 people per class, ensuring you receive individualized fitness training.  

     

    Where do we do Spirit Fitness?

    Spirit Fitness classes are offered at Veracis Wellness Center, Studio Entrance, 86 Moody Street, Port Moody, B.C.  Your fitness trainer will also encourage you to practice simple exercises at home between classes. 

     

    How long are Spirit Fitness Classes?
    Classes are 75 minutes long per class, offered twice a week, in series of 8 weeks, 12 weeks, etc.

     

     

    What if I haven’t exercised in a while or I’m out of shape? 

    Whether you’re new or advanced, tall, thin or anywhere in between, your Spirit Fitness trainer will direct you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.  You'll be asked to complete a confidential medical questionnaire.  Veracis Wellness does its best to create and maintain an 'ego free' environment.

     

    Waivers & Privacy
    You will be asked to read and sign a waiver before beginning your first class.  Your information remains confidential to Veracis Wellness.
