Why Meditate?

 

Meditation, with its associated calming effects, has caught on with billions of people who now practice it regularly in some way.  It is no longer limited to sitting cross legged, making ohm sounds with incense burning. The integration of Eastern and Western philosophies has found a place within Western lifestyles as we integrate meditation into mainstream lifestyles.

 

People who meditate regularly clear away distracting thoughts and emotions and as a result are more focused and stable, leading lives with less stress, more ease and higher productivity.  Meditation isn’t difficult to learn.  Like most new things, it takes practice, time, dedication and intention to become established as part of your routine.  Meditation has been rediscovered and redefined to find a place in our Western lifestyle because it works.  Combined with healthy eating and exercise, meditating creates overall balanced wellness.

Veracis Meditation Classes encourage personal empowerment through awareness and meditating.  Classes are taught with you sitting comfortably in a chair.  The standard class format includes topic instruction and definition, guided experiential meditation, and interaction/discussion.   Spirit Awareness Meditation – Level I includes the basic structure of your energy system and how to incorporate meditating and awareness into your life.  It’s like receiving a kit of basic awareness tools to help you meditate and to be aware of your inner self.
